‘I thought our guys made some big strides’ – Rockets GM Bruce Hamilton
This is part one of a two-part conversation. Part two will be featured on Friday.
Bruce Hamilton is not the warm and fuzzy type.
The General Manager of the Kelowna Rockets shows emotion, a competitive spirit and isn’t satisfied with mediocrity.
Each season, he believes his team should challenge for a league title, or in a worst-case scenario, be among the most successful in the 22-team circuit.
With Lachlan Staniforth and new signing Rowan Guest being likely additions to the D, it seems that Jacob Henderson will have to wait until his 17-year-old season.
Other elite rookies might be Eli Barrett, taken in the 1st round of the WHL Prospects Draft in 2023 and/or Owen Folstrom, taken in the 4th round of that Draft.
Bruce Hamilton said of those three 16-year-olds, one is a d-man…so we will indeed have to watch that closely.
