Kelowna Rockets set preseason dates

The Kelowna Rockets have announced a four-game preseason schedule that will give fans their first look at the club ahead of the 2026-27 WHL season.

Kelowna will play a home-and-home exhibition series against both the Kamloops Blazers and Penticton Vees as preparations begin for what promises to be an exciting season.

The Rockets open the preseason on the road against the Blazers at Sandman Centre on Friday, September 4, before returning home to host Kamloops at Prospera Place the following evening.

Kelowna then shifts its focus to the newest rival in the BC Division, travelling to Penticton on Wednesday, September 9, before wrapping up the exhibition schedule against the Vees at Prospera Place on Saturday, September 12.

2026 Kelowna Rockets Preseason Schedule

Friday, September 4 at Kamloops Blazers Sandman Centre – 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 5 vs. Kamloops Blazers Prospera Place – 6:05 p.m.

Wednesday, September 9 at Penticton Vees South Okanagan Events Centre – 6:35 p.m.

Saturday, September 12 vs. Penticton Vees Prospera Place – 6:05 p.m.

The exhibition schedule serves as a tune-up before the Rockets officially begin the regular season on September 19 when they visit the Vancouver Giants.

Kelowna will then head to Penticton for the Vees’ home opener on September 25 before returning to Prospera Place one night later for the Rockets’ Home Opener on September 26. The matchup will mark the first regular-season Battle of the Okanagan between the Rockets and Vees in Kelowna.
