Shea Weber headed to hall of fame
Former Kelowna Rockets defenceman Shea Weber will be inducted into the British Columbia Hockey Hall of Fame in Penticton this summer.
Joining Weber are Carey Price, Tom Kowal, Scott Bradley and 2010 Fort St. John Flyers in the 2024 Induction Class, which was announced on Thursday.
“It’s really a big honour being a B.C. boy in a small town of Sicamous,” said Weber. “I was lucky to play my whole minor hockey and junior career in B.C. and to get this call means a lot.”
Weber, 38, was listed by the Rockets after going undrafted. He joined Kelowna on a full-time basis during the 2002-03 season.
