Pacheco looking to find his rhythm
Playing in the shadows of teammate Andrew Cristall should be expected.
It is hard to measure up when a young, slick skating forward, arguably one of the best we’ve seen in these parts since Shane McColgan and Nick Merkley, turns the red light on 28 times in his first season with the Kelowna Rockets.
Cristall is so good, he breaks a franchise record for goals by a 16-year-old and is promptly named the Western Conference Rookie of the Year.
To make a name for himself, Marcus Pacheco needs to take a backseat to teammate Caden Price too, who NHL Central Scouting has in its top 40 North American skaters for this June’s draft.
