A California kid with hockey roots
Dane Sorensen grew up in Los Angeles, but hockey was never a strange choice in his family.
His dad had already made a career out of the game.
Now Sorensen is trying to make his own name in hockey, starting his WHL career with the Kelowna Rockets.
The 19-year-old defenceman is an older rookie, but he comes to Kelowna with plenty of experience. He played last season in both the USHL and BCHL and finished the year by winning a championship with the Brooks Bandits.
